Hello. My name is
Ladonna Armour
I'm your company's next Marketing leader.
How can I be sure? Because I'm a seasoned Marketing veteran with 20 years' experience building brands and leading high-performance teams.
Take a moment to review this digital resume to learn more.
What I do
I build brands.
Big or small. Long-standing or new to the world. Built for consumers or targeted for industry. With nearly 20 years of Marketing experience, I've been a trusted steward of some of the world's most respected products.
I wake up thinking about consumer and market insights. I go to sleep thinking about market share and brand penetration. I constantly evaluate the ad copy of different products I see. New product innovation makes me giddy. There is no such thing as "a quick trip to the market" in my household.
In short, some people struggle to find the cross-section between their passion and their vocation. I never have.
I am a Marketer.

Experience timeline
-
2002 - 2004 After earning my MBA, I started my career with Playtex Apparel as the Assistant Brand Manager for brands including Playtex and Wonderbra. I contributed to the launch of a new brand (Thank Goodness it Fits) which allowed me to develop media strategy for TV and Print. I also managed special promotional events.2002
-
2005 - 2006 Excited to spread my wings in a larger city, I left Winston-Salem, NC for Washington, DC to work in business development for the healthcare think-tank The Advisory Board. The business development role helped me develop consultative selling experience and honed my executive presence with c-suite leaders.2005
-
2006 - 2012 By 2006, I was eager to go back to a product marketing role. That brought me to Richmond, VA where I took the helm as the Brand Manager for the Garcia y Vega cigar brand. In this role, I launched a new flanker brand (Game by Garcia y Vega) and led the brand to a market-leading position. Though not a smoker myself, this role taught me that good marketing discipline (not personal use) is the key to market success.2006
-
2012 - 2020 After six years with Garcia y Vega and having only marketed CPG products, I wanted to gain B2B marketing competencies. That led me to the global packaging leader, MWV (later to become WestRock and finally Silgan Dispensing). In my role as the Global Director of Marketing for the Home & Garden division, I used all the marketing levers to drive profitable growth for the division. Whether that be account-based marketing tactics with key multi-national brands or traditional demand-generation campaigns for the general market.2012
-
2021 & Beyond I joined Reynolds American in early 2021 to lead brand-building efforts for a newly re-launched portfolio of tobacco-free nicotine products. In this role I was able to use the full assortment of my marketing skills to lead the brand to awareness and salience scores that matched the market leader as well as a competitive share of market in under six months in market.2021
-
In the next phase of my career I want to bring my considerable experience as a brand-builder to bear on the right company. The industry, product, customer segment -- none of these is as important as a company filled with passionate (and compassionate) people. Let's write this next chapter together!NEXT

As a manager of people, I've looked at hundreds of resumes over the years. The problem with resumes is they rarely give you a glimpse into the spirit of a candidate. I built this site to bring greater clarity to who I am professionally and personally.
This is who I am. Now, let's learn about you. Is yours a company an employee can love? Great! Let's talk!
